“ Age and size are only numbers. It’s the attitude you bring to clothes that make the difference.”
– Donna Karan
Ok, it’s one of those days, weeks, really, that I’ve been feeling philosophical about life, love and friendships, and CONFIDENCE! Doesn’t the world seem upside down to you sometimes? I mean there’re women/girls, that have all the assurance of the universe glued to their faces, and then others, who you would think have it all, seem to falter and sort of mess it up? Why is that? Society, peer pressure, used to be magazines but now I think it’s been replaced by social media.
And rarely are those posts a version of real life, they’re hyped up, filtered to the max, highlights of peoples lives. That’s how it should be, it’s fine by me, I also obviously only put the happy stuff, why would I depress you with the bad days!? But guys, remember that others have the same crisis days, whether it’s hair issues, (silly!) or really serious stuff, (health issues come to mind), and do not share it with the world…
I just get sad when I see gorgeous women, of all shapes, sizes and ages, bash their egos in, for no reason at all. Always finding defects, listen rather to those that build you up, and if they’re scarce, do it yourself! We are all unique, there is only one of you and that’s precious. So embrace your faults, real or imagined, and face your true self in the mirror.
These are some of the women I admire, for being fearless!
