Dray January + The Life Juice

Dry January, February, March…

So I’m going in for the big haul, trying to stay off alcohol for three months! I started, quite a cliché, on the 1st of January mostly because I was sick but also as a cleanse and a deflating effort. Feeling bloated and puffy, it was time for a detox. Suffice it to say that Saturday I broke my fast, yes! I’m that weak, with 2 glasses of Champagne and 1 glass of red wine. It was Saturday, a long and late lunch with friends on a boat so I forgive myself and will carry on regardless. But is it…

Love + The Life Juice

Wishing YOU Peace & Love in 2019

Hope your holidays were fabulous, full of love and harmony, especially during a time when we are sometimes forced to be in social and/or family situations that are difficult! Mine were as expected, but lovely, seeing that they were sandwiched between two bouts of ill health which really brought me down. Nothing serious, but I was listless, tired, my head congested, it was a difficult period and I stopped posting… So today at least I can wish you a fabulous 2019! Full of health and energy, the good full-of-light-kind, more people that root for you, that make you feel calm…

Beauty Briefs

I’m a beauty junkie as I really think the right products, applied in a conscious way, with a healthy lifestyle, truly make a difference. There’s not a pharmacy in Outer Mongolia I wouldn’t visit to get the lowdown on the local beauty habits. Here are some of mine… The Jade Roller, have you tried it? I’ve got one, ( bought it in Vietnam this summer), and I love it! At night, after putting on my serums, I gently roll it over my face, whilst already in bed, and then put on my face cream. It eases tension, promotes circulation and…

Weekend with The Life Juice

Happy Weekend!

Finally we’re feeling a little more wintry, as the rain and the cold settle in. Here is a little of what I found interesting this week for you to check out or do this weekend! FOOD Yes, perhaps I am obsessed with pumpkins but they are in season and this recipe from Leela*Cyd, Pumpkin, Sage Cannelloni ticks all the boxes. DECOR This loft is a combination of industrial chic, rough edges and some surprising touches which makes it a whole lot of fun. It’s from a site that I love to look at once in a while called Desire to…

Is he the right man for You?

Why You Will Marry the Wrong Person and other stuff…

Yes, what a shocker! Having gotten married earlier this year, I thought I’d better watch this very closely and take notes! Meet Alain de Botton, philosopher and author, who wrote one of my favourite books, The Course of Love. A book that speaks and translates the modern language of love, the misunderstandings, expectations and its everyday challenges. He founded The School of Life which is based in London, and has bases all over the world, and proposes an emotional education concentrating particularly on the issues of Work and Relationships. So Alain is in a good position to tell us more about this…
