Why don’t you…

BUY I’m crazy about vintage and have been since a teenager, and love to wear my pieces often and mixed up with my other stuff. Here are a pair of sneakers that deserve to be back in my closet…Reebok Club C Vintage that will go with everything and make it modern again. READ   With the death of Karl Lagerfeld why not catch up on the career of this incredibly talented superman? I’m so privileged to have been to several of his mesmerizingly fast ( the speed at which the models exited was head turning!) shows, to have gawked at…

Valentine's Day + The Life Juice

Fall in love with yourself. Everyday.

I’m an incurable romantic and believe love and friendship should be celebrated everyday, in the smallest of ways to big generous gestures. For me, a huge generous gesture is not only a physical gift, or a weekend away, but also the generosity of spirit. Such as, when we are sure we’re right but gladly, and simply say these magical words, “…yes dear ”  to avoid a potential a confrontation, that’s romantic and considerate. Valentine’s day is a relatively new celebration in Portugal, not unlike Halloween, but everybody, commercially that is, has taken to it. So it is red hearts,…

Love + The Life Juice

Wishing YOU Peace & Love in 2019

Hope your holidays were fabulous, full of love and harmony, especially during a time when we are sometimes forced to be in social and/or family situations that are difficult! Full of health and energy, the good full-of-light-kind, more people that root for you, that make you feel calm…

Weekend with The Life Juice

Happy Weekend!

Finally we’re feeling a little more wintry, as the rain and the cold settle in. Here is a little of what I found interesting this week for you to check out or do this weekend! FOOD Yes, perhaps I am obsessed with pumpkins but they are in season and this recipe from Leela*Cyd, Pumpkin, Sage Cannelloni ticks all the boxes. DECOR This loft is a combination of industrial chic, rough edges and some surprising touches which makes it a whole lot of fun. It’s from a site that I love to look at once in a while called Desire to…

Is he the right man for You?

Why You Will Marry the Wrong Person and other stuff…

Yes, what a shocker! Having gotten married earlier this year, I thought I’d better watch this very closely and take notes! Meet Alain de Botton, philosopher and author, who wrote one of my favourite books, The Course of Love. A book that speaks and translates the modern language of love, the misunderstandings, expectations and its everyday challenges. He founded The School of Life which is based in London, and has bases all over the world, and proposes an emotional education concentrating particularly on the issues of Work and Relationships. So Alain is in a good position to tell us more about this…
